Georgetown Elite Concrete is a concrete contractor in Georgetown, TX with twenty years and more of concrete placed here and across Williamson County. We pour driveways, slabs, patios, sidewalks, retaining walls and commercial flatwork, and we repair, level, resurface and finish concrete that is already in the ground.

We are a concrete specialist rather than a general builder who subcontracts the pour, which means the people who read the ground on your site are the people who place the concrete on it.

Our Approach

We build to the document rather than to habit. Georgetown has adopted SD-15 at a ten foot minimum width, a four foot six inch radius and six inches of thickness, and SD-16 at twelve feet, five feet and five inches, and which of them governs depends on the job. We name the sheet on the quote, and we name the reinforcement it allows: SD-15 mandates six by six number six mesh, or number four bar at sixteen inches on chairs, while SD-14 and specification C5.04(G) permit fibrous concrete instead.

We also pull the permit. Georgetown deleted the model code exemption for flatwork in both its residential and its commercial code, so a driveway or a sidewalk here is permitted work rather than something you can simply pour, and the city requires an engineer’s certification once foundation construction or the concrete application is finished. The code is explicit that the certification shall contain no opinions or disclaimers, so we tell you before the pour that a job needs one and we build so it is straightforward to get.

Local knowledge here is specific rather than general. The Edwards recharge zone covers the west side of the city and stops before the east, which changes what a job involves depending on which side of that line you are on. Inside Sun City, section 3.15 prohibits stamped and template patterns and a definite multi color appearance, so the decorative route there is a coating with a stencil worked from the association’s own approved color list. Downtown the joint rule changes again, with SD-14 scoring at five feet while SD-45 scores a twenty four by twenty four inch grid with doweled half inch bituminous joints, a zip strip every ten feet, and color sealing.

Two practical things follow from working this way. Right of way work on Georgetown arterials runs half past eight to half past three with no weekends, which is a seven hour window, so we plan a job around it rather than discovering it on the first morning. And concrete and asphalt work is exempt by name through emergency drought stage four under section 13.16.090(A)(5), so a water restriction is not going to cancel your pour.

We quote small jobs, and when we give a price per square foot we tell you the size of job it was worked out from. A price per square foot with no job behind it is not a price.
